President Donald Trump says the United States will not have a wall along its southern border and has called for the construction of a fence along the entire U.S.-Mexico border.
“No, I don’t think so.
I would never say that,” Trump said at a news conference with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.
“I just can’t imagine a country that has the resources, the people, the manpower to build a wall that is going to be so large.
I mean, that would be ridiculous.
But I just don’t believe that.”
Trump said Mexico will not pay for the wall and said Mexico is not the country in which he would build it.
Mexico has already paid for some of the border wall’s construction, but has not received any of the money it would have to pay to keep the U.N. building the wall.
Trump said Mexico has not paid a dime for the border fence since he took office, but the president said Mexico would be willing to pay for it.
“Mexico is paying for the cost.
I’ll tell you this, they are paying for it,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
“The wall is going a little faster than anybody anticipated, but I do believe that Mexico is going the right way.
I have spoken to Mexico’s President.
He has said, ‘Look, you’re paying for what’s happening.
We’re going to make sure that you get the best price we can.'”
The president, who has often praised Mexico for its construction of the wall, also said Mexico was paying for some border security measures.
“You know what?
I have great respect for Mexico, and I have tremendous respect for President Peña.
I think he’s done a fantastic job,” Trump added.”
I think that Mexico has been very good to us.
I just think they’re doing a great job.”
Trump has previously made the case that Mexico will pay for his proposed border wall.
Mexico will only pay for part of the fence, he has said.
The president has repeatedly said Mexico won’t pay for any part of Trump’s proposed border barrier, saying it is impossible to pay.
The president’s comments are the latest in a string of Trump statements that could complicate his bid for re-election.
He said the U,S.
will not be paying for a border fence, which is already a part of President Enrique Pena Nieto’s government.
“We are not going to pay,” Trump also said.
“It’s just not possible.
You can’t do that.”
He also said he has spoken to Pena and he said he would not pay to build the wall in Mexico.
Trump is set to meet with Mexican president Peña on Wednesday.
