The bath accessories market is expected to reach $3.6 billion in the second quarter of 2018, up $500 million from $2.9 billion in 2018.
Baths, shower rooms and bath accessories account for nearly one-third of that market, according to a recent report from Luxury Brands, an international luxury goods consulting firm.
The market has seen steady growth for the past decade, according the report.
While the industry is expected be in the red this year, it’s predicted to grow even more this year due to the continued trend of a more natural and healthier lifestyle, including more natural sources of water, said Mark Schramm, chief market analyst for Luxury Products.
“With a more hydrated lifestyle, people want a bath that’s a lot more comfortable and comfortable is more convenient,” Schramma said.
“That’s where the trend is.”
The market is poised to grow this year with an expected $300 million in sales for 2018, according Luxury Brand.
Bath and shower accessories are among the top-selling products in the bath category, with the industry accounting for almost $3 billion of the total.
According to Luxury Brands data, the top three categories in terms of sales are shower accessories, bath accessories and tub accessories.
Bath accessories, with a market share of over 50%, accounts for nearly $700 million of the overall market.
“I think it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with the trend towards a more healthful lifestyle, especially as people get older and their bodies age,” Schrams said.
The latest report from luxury brands is expected on Tuesday at the UBS World Economic Forum in New York.
