New Delhi: Toyota India has launched a range of premium and luxury cars with the goal of bringing men’s lifestyle to the masses.
Toyota India launched its new line of men’s premium vehicles at a press conference on Thursday to mark the launch of its new model line, the MR3.
The MR3 is an entry-level vehicle, with a starting price of Rs 1.25 lakh.
The company said that the MR1, MR2 and MR3 cars will be priced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.
The MR3 features a large 2-door body with a 3-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 5.3-litres engine.
The new MR3 comes with a range that extends from the Toyota Golf to the Toyota Camry.
The Toyota MR3 sports leather seats and an all-season sunroof.
The brand also announced a range for men, called MR4, which includes the Toyota MR4 sedan and MR4 SUV.
The range will start at Rs 1 crore and end at Rs 4 crore.
The first MR4 vehicle will be released in 2019.
The launch of the new line comes at a time when men are increasingly finding themselves without a car of their own.
The global market for luxury cars has been witnessing a sharp decline, with the world’s carmakers facing an increasing shortage of parts and labour.
Toyota is hoping to change that by creating a new line for the men.
The company said in its press conference that it has made several investments in manufacturing and design of the MR4 as well as in the MR5 sedan.
The SUV will have a top speed of 120kmph and range of 400km, Toyota said.
